About the General Chair of ICOMOS 2012: Santolo Meo received B.S. and M.S. degrees with honours from FEDERICO II University of Naples - Italy, where currently he is an associate professor. His current research interests include the fields of power electronics and electrical drives. He is the author of about 100 scientific publications on journals and international conferences in the power electronics field. He is Editor-in-chief of the International Review of Electrical Engineering (IREE) and of the International Review on Modelling and Simulations (IREMOS). He is President of the Chapter Board on Power Electronics and electrical drives of the World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society; He is member of the international scientific committee of International Conferences on Power electronics and control of electrical drives; He is reviewer for Journals and International Conferences on Power electronics and control of electrical drives; He was involved in National Research Projects financed by the Italian Minister of the Research; He has been responsible of several contracts of advice stipulated with the Researches Centre ELASIS of FIAT, on topics of power electronics for automotive applications.
